Superintendent Search

On October 9, 2017, the Board of Education hired School Exec Connect from Edina, Minnesota, to conduct a nationwide search for qualified candidates for the position of Superintendent of Schools. It is anticipated the new superintendent will assume the role on July 1, 2018. 

October 9 - New Superintendent Characteristics Survey Results presented to Board.

October 23 - Planning meeting with Board and Search Consultants.

October 24 - Position is posted.

November 14-16 - Community engagement process.

November 24 - Stakeholder input due on New Superintendent Profile Form.

December 4 - Consultants present Superintendent Profile Report and Progress Report to Board.

December 15 - Job posting closes.

December 15-January 5 - Applicants are vetted.

January 15 - Consultants present candidates to the Board for interview selection.

January 23 - First round interviews with Board and select finalists.

January 29 - Committee interviews finalists. Board conducts final interview and job offer.

January 30-February 2 - Board vets final candidate and negotiates contract.

February 5 - Board signs contract.

July 1 - Superintendent assumes duties.
