PBIS

The Lincoln School Faculty kicked off the 2015-16 school year as "Shining SuperStars," each with our own super powers that involve positive character traits!  We will be revealing each and every staff members Super Power to the students in the first month of school, and talking about how that character trait supports our efforts to be Compassionate, Respectful and Responsible - which are our goals here at Lincoln!  Watch future Newsletters and this website for pictures and details regarding each of our Staff SuperStars, and our Superstar Students and how they shine!

What is PBIS?
Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports (PBIS)
is a systemic approach to proactive, school-wide behavior based on a Response to Intervention (RtI) model. PBIS applies evidence-based programs, practices, and strategies for all students to increase academic performance, improve safety, decrease problem behavior, and establish a positive school culture. Schools implementing PBIS build on existing strengths, complementing and organizing current programming and strategies. The PBIS model has been successfully implemented in thousands of schools in over 40 states, resulting in dramatic reductions in disciplinary interventions and increases in academic achievement.
